RadiCal is the new invention from ebmpapst – one of the UKs largest motor and fan manufacturers.

The design is backward curved, and uses the latest in composite material technology to create highly efficient aerodynamic characteristics of the impeller.

The radically new air path design results in reduced air turbulence which prevents wasted air – this is achieved by using rounded inlet contours on the cover plate and base plate.

RadiCal is designed for use in ventilation, air-conditioning, heat pump and control cabinet cooling applications in industrial settings typically.

It is also available in a range of sizes depending on the client’s specific cooling requirements, from 133mm to 500mm diameter.

The aerodynamic efficiency of the fan also reduces noise pollution of up to 3 dB (A), and when used in conjunction with a GreenTech EC motor, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 50 percent.

This exceeds the efficiency targets which are to be implemented under European law – the Energy related Products (ErP) directive – which is to come into force in 2015.

Additionally, the heat management system has also been optimised as air inlets in the rotor provide better heat dissipation for the motor than older models.
